Based on feedback from the Newwind 2024 item balance vote, we have made changes to almost every god item in the game.
More tweaks may be made based on observations.
Heal Cap:
The amount of HP you can regenerate from certain gods is limited, depending on whether it's an "active" or "passive" healing item.
The limit for "active" healing items is 20 HP per 10 seconds:
- Active healing items: Healing Potions, Regen from Eating, Healing Horn, Tsarloch, Fixer's Wrench, Scrowl, Lover's Blade, Jubilation, Gravekeeper
The limit for "passive" healing items is 10 HP per 10 seconds:
- Passive healing items: Sterling Mask XP, Summer Leggings, Heliast, Regeneration Effect, Rune of Healing, Paragon
This was added to prevent players from stacking multiple healing items to become unkillable.
God Armor Buff:
Leather, Gold, Chainmail, and Iron god armor have had their protection buffed:
Leather armor adjustments:
- Leather boots: 1 armor, 0 toughness -> 2 armor, 0.5 toughness
- Leather leggings: 2 armor, 0 toughness -> 3 armor, 0.5 toughness
- Leather chestplate: 3 armor, 0 toughness -> 5 armor, 0.5 toughness
- Leather helmet: 1 armor, 0 toughness -> 2 armor, 0.5 toughness
Gold armor adjustments:
- Gold boots: 1 armor, 0 toughness -> 2 armor, 0.75 toughness
- Gold leggings: 3 armor, 0 toughness -> 4 armor, 0.75 toughness
- Gold chestplate: 5 armor, 0 toughness -> 5.5 armor, 0.75 toughness
- Gold helmet: 2 armor, 0 toughness -> 2 armor, 0.75 toughness
Chainmail armor adjustments:
- Chainmail boots: 1 armor, 0 toughness -> 2 armor, 1 toughness
- Chainmail leggings: 4 armor, 0 toughness -> 5 armor, 1 toughness
- Chainmail chestplate: 5 armor, 0 toughness -> 6 armor, 1 toughness
- Chainmail helmet: 2 armor, 0 toughness -> 2 armor, 1 toughness
Iron armor adjustments:
- Iron boots: 2 armor, 0 toughness -> 2.5 armor, 1.5 toughness
- Iron leggings: 5 armor, 0 toughness -> 5.5 armor, 1.5 toughness
- Iron chestplate: 6 armor, 0 toughness -> 7 armor, 1.5 toughness
- Iron helmet: 2 armor, 0 toughness -> 2.5 armor, 1.5 toughness
This makes players wearing any armor that isn't Diamond or Netherite less fragile.
God Armor Protection:
A little-known fact in Minecraft is that armor protection across all four pieces caps at 20, meaning protection above level 5 does not reduce damage further. This also applies to specialized protection types such as Fire/Blast/Projectile Protection.
For example, a Protection 5 Diamond armor set with Projectile Protection 10 added will take the exact same amount of arrow damage as a regular Protection 5 set.
All protection on god armor has been capped at 5 and other protection types have been removed to reduce confusion, without any gameplay change. We may also experiment with removing Minecraft's protection cap of 20 in the future.

- Armored Wings: +6 armor -> +7 armor
- Bloody Mary: 20% damage increase below 33% health -> 30% damage increase below 50% health, made it bind golden apples
- Bysurge: Made it give Slowness 2 to hit targets
- Cupid's Arch: Increased pull strength by 25%
- Edict: Made it penetrate shields
- Snowman Spellbook: Increased goon health
- Snowy 2020 Boots: Added Speed 2 effect
- Snowy 2020 Chestplate: 1 heart -> 2 hearts, added Strength 1
- Snowy PJs: Added immunity to freezing
- Sterling Mask (Increased XP gain upgrade): 150% XP -> 200% XP
- Summer 2019 Boots: Speed 1 -> Speed 2
- Halloween 2019 Helmet: -5 hearts -> -4 hearts
- Silk Woven Amice: 0 hearts -> 2 hearts
- Talmar: Added fire resistance when worn
- Voidsteel Leggings: 2 hearts -> 3 hearts
Reworks:
- Braxlion: Removed Thorns, added Strength 2, +2 hearts -> -1 heart, reduced price
- Fealty: Nerfed damage by 33%, made it work in offhand
- Jubilation: Made it give hunger/health only when the target has higher hunger/health
- Larvus: Increased cooldown, made the bees bigger, increased health of the bees
- Nemora: Removed skeleton archers, increased damage rate from clones, reduced health of clones
- Fragarach: Made it give +1 Strength for 25 seconds up to Strength 4 per kill
- Summer 2020 Spade: Reworked into the ultimate farming tool
- Sundancers: -1 heart -> -2 hearts, replaced slight regeneration with immunity to freezing
- Tsarloch: +0.75 HP per hit -> +0.75 HP per hit when critting, 0.5 HP per hit otherwise
- Vigil: 2 hearts -> 0 hearts, added blindness immunity
- Vulcan: 25% extra damage aflame when the attacker is on fire -> 35% extra damage aflame when either attacker or damaged is on fire
- Winter's Remorse: Made it inflict freezing instead of slowness
Nerfs:
- Barrico: Reduced window size by 1 tick
- Bulwark: Made it take more durability damage
- Fae: Heal rate reduced
- Fealty (slowness upgrade): Slowness 2 -> Slowness 1
- Fixer's Wrench: +2 HP per hit -> +1.5 HP per hit
- Horn of Omigos: Made it bind the user
- Magnate: Reduced absorption steal from 5 hearts per hit to 3 hearts
Since Leather, Chainmail, and Iron armor have their protection increased, the amount of hearts certain pieces give was nerfed:
